Grateful for days like this.
Huge thank you to this family for choosing @artifactstattoos and trusting us with something so meaningful. We got to tattoo the wife, husband, daughter, the wife’s brother, and her mom which was very funny 😆— a full family day in the shop.

Shoutout to @ivn_antonio31 for holding it down and helping knock out five tattoos total — he did three, I did two.

Getting to tattoo their mom was truly special. She brought so much personality, humor, and warmth into the room — the kind of energy that instantly makes everyone feel at home. If you’ve got an auntie or a mom who runs the room with jokes and love, you know exactly what I mean. She definitely stole the show and made the whole day unforgettable.

Thank you all again for the trust, the laughs, and the memories.

Minnesota trip recap.
I attended the @villainarts Tattoo Convention this year as a way to keep building relationships out here. I’ve been coming to Minnesota for a few years now to tattoo in St. Paul, and @grandavenuetattoo has always been home base when I’m in town.

I decided to enter the convention to meet more people from the city and the state, connect with other artists, and keep growing my clientele since Minnesota is a place I return to often. Ended up meeting a lot of solid people—both from out here and from back home.

I was out from Thursday to Monday, spent time with friends and family, and even had my friend @thehomiechefmando come through to connect with other business owners, especially restaurant owners. The whole trip was about networking, building, and being present.

Good memories, good conversations, and getting to experience the convention during snow season made it even better. Grateful for the opportunity and the people that i met !! Till next time 🤙🏽

Did a face tattoo above @itsjustmason____ right eyebrow ,his daughter’s name, Mila.
He’s been asking me to do this piece since she was born last month. He wasn’t fully set on placement and threw out a few options, but once I showed him the eyebrow idea, we went for it.

Face tattoos are no joke. This one was fully freehand — no stencil. You really have to trust your marker, your line weight, and your judgment. It takes patience, consistency, and confidence the entire time. There’s no room for hesitation when you’re working on someone’s face.

We went with custom cursive, keeping it simple but meaningful.
I’m really happy with how this one came out and grateful he trusted me with something this personal.

Custom PALMS calligraphy wrapping in a spiral around the elbow, done fully freehand in solid black at @artifactstattoos Tattoo Studio in downtown LA for @smoking_chops

Elbows are tough — nothing is flat, the skin stretches and shifts, and the design has to read clean from every angle. Pieces like this require constant adjustments throughout the process, which makes them challenging but extremely rewarding.

Grateful for the trust and excited to keep pushing more elbow and circular lettering work this year.

@villainarts Tattoo Festival – Minneapolis

I’ll be tattooing all three days, so if you’ve been wanting to get something done, this is your chance to catch me in Minnesota.

Festival hours:
• Friday: 2 PM – 11 PM
• Saturday: 11 AM – 11 PM
• Sunday: 11 AM – 8 PM

🎟 Tickets:
• $25 (one day)
• $50 (three-day weekend)

I’m currently taking appointments and will also have limited availability for walk-ups. I’ll be tattooing all sizes — small, medium, and large. If you already have an idea in mind, you’re more than welcome to send it over.

Yesterday I got to tattoo a good friend of mine, @eskobarber . He’s a barber upstairs at @thelab_artsdistrict — a space he and @sangv.tran built together. I tattooed his other hand about six years ago, at my old studio in Inglewood. so being able to come back and do the opposite hand felt full circle. This time we went with freehand script lettering, spelling out Emily, his daughter’s name. No stencil — just custom script and trust. Always grateful when friends let me be part of something this personal.

A curated selection of 🇲🇽 Mexican-inspired tattoos created this year at @artifactstattoos Studio. Each piece was custom designed and composed specifically for the client.

Cultural work allows space for research, learning, and thoughtful execution. As a Mexican artist, I value the opportunity to explore my heritage through tattooing and translate those influences into black and grey compositions. While lettering remains a core part of my practice, this year I focused on expanding my black and grey work alongside it.

These are a few pieces that stood out to me from this year within that Mexican-influenced approach.
