I’ve been working on this quarter sleeve for my

I’ve been working on this quarter sleeve for my client Alex. He came to me wanting a Día de los muertos /skull candy female design, and we ended up taking over his whole forearm. This one took a couple of sessions—not rushing it, just making sure my greys healed the way I wanted and that everything sat right.

I like breaking down sleeves into sessions because it makes the tattoo last solid long-term, not just look fresh for the first few weeks. Healing in between sessions gives me the chance to see how the greys settle and make any adjustments. It’s also way more comfortable for clients — instead of pushing through a marathon day, you’re getting tattooed for around 4–5 hours each session, which makes the whole process smoother.

This piece was definitely a challenge, since most people know me for lettering. But I’m building my portfolio with more black and grey quarter sleeves, and I’m really happy with how this one came out.

“When @nxcks99_ told me he wanted The World Is Mine tattooed down his leg, I knew it was going to be a statement piece. The phrase itself carries so much power and energy, and I wanted the lettering to match that. We started with a consultation where I measured his leg, mapped out the flow, and then I designed the layouts on Procreate to give him some options. Once he picked his favorite direction, it was about making sure the script felt strong from knee to ankle. It can be a challenge to keep proportions and balance with something this long, but I enjoyed putting it together piece by piece. This is the type of project that reminds me why I love calligraphy and lettering — it’s bold, personal, and timeless. Done at @artifactstattoos

Part 3 of my Portland trip is Live Now go check out my YouTube channel for the full video ! This one’s a full day of tattooing in the city of Hawthorne at @sparkyztattoo . My first client was my buddy @bobby_stills , who I originally met in Hawaii before he moved out to Portland. I got to tattoo his stomach with his last name, Araujo. I also knocked out a forearm piece for another client — Esperanza on his inner forearm. Both were big, meaningful tattoos and it felt great to be back working in Portland.

What made this day even better was the people around me. My filmer @oscarlopez.mov captured it all, @jordantrujillogdt was tattooing alongside me, and my good friend @tattoosbykred even drove down from Tacoma just to hang out and support us. The shop had good energy, the vibe was right, and the whole day felt like a mix of hard work and great memories.

Just got back from a two-week trip in Minnesota I

Just got back from a two-week trip in Minnesota I guest spotted over at @grandavenuetattoo and wrapped up this custom calligraphy forearm piece for client .
We spelled out “Romance” in a beveled style I designed specifically for him. Huge thanks to Joe for inquiring about this piece and trusting me to bring it to life.

We finished it in two sessions — sometimes it’s a little tough to knock out a piece like this in one sitting, but we made it happen on my last trip out there. I really enjoy doing this kind of custom calligraphy and beveled lettering, and I’d love to take on more projects like it whether I’m working in LA, Hawaii, or Minnesota.
